Real maple syrup comes only from Canada and the northeastern United States – and in organic quality, it consists of nothing more than the boiled-down sap of the sugar maple. No added sugar, no flavorings. Its taste is complex: warm, caramel-like, slightly woody, and significantly less sweet than sugar. Grade A Medium Amber is the typical all-round quality for cooking and on the table.
